Essential Tips On How To Transport or Deliver A Cake

Cake Delivery in Lagos can be quite an hassle for so many reasons.

When transporting or delivering a cake, it’s very important to drive slow, take turns really really slowly, and keep everything level at all times.

Diva Cakes offers Same Day Delivery in Lagos & Portharcourt. You can place your order and get it delivered to your doorstep in less than 4 hours.

In this tutorial I will show you how to carefully package your cakes, cupcakes and other sweet treats for transportation.

Always use sturdy boxes and ensure you have a thin nonslip piece of sponge or mat under your cakes in the box. This will ensure that they don’t slide around when you are traveling. Don’t travel with your cakes tiered up (unless absolutely necessary). If you can, box each tier carefully and assemble them at the venue.

Place cake in sturdy cardboard boxes

Always use sturdy boxes that are sized to the baseboard of each cake. This will ensure that the cake doesn’t slide around within the box when you transporting and possibly crushing the sides of the cake.

Avoid direct exposure to sunlight

Cakes should never be in direct sunlight, be sure to position the cake somewhere that won’t have sunlight directly over the cake which will cause it to melt.

keep cake on a flat surface

If no one is available to hold the cake for you, it’s best to transport the cake in the flattest area possible of your car. For example, the passenger side floor in front of the seat. This way you can keep an eye on your cake.
